The Property Plug ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and handles your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What we collect
We collect information you give us when you enquire, request access to the panel, use a calculator, or contact us. This typically includes your name, mobile number, email, suburb or building location, buyer type, budget guide and timeline. We do not collect more than we need to match you to the right builders, designs, land and finance.
2. How we use your information
- To match your brief to builders, designs, land and finance on our panel.
- To contact you about your enquiry and the build you are considering.
- To introduce you, with your consent, to a builder and to our in-house lending arm.
- To improve our service and meet our legal obligations.
3. Disclosure
We disclose your information to the builders and finance providers you ask us to introduce you to, and to service providers who help us operate (such as our CRM). We never sell your personal information. Internal commercial arrangements between us and builders are never attached to your data.
4. Your consent and choices
You can opt out of marketing contact at any time. Where you provide consent for a credit quote or a finance introduction, that consent is recorded separately. See our consent record for finance enquiries.
5. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
6. Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct your personal information, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing hello@thepropertyplug.com.au. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
